The story
Built in Queens. Tested on every kind of floor.
A Lefrak City, Queens native, DJ Takeova turned a love of hip-hop into a career built through college residencies, mixtapes, live stages, radio, hosting and event production. He earned the “Takeova” name as resident DJ at Morrisville State College, soundtracking student-activity events before expanding across SUNY Old Westbury, Suffolk Community College, Mansfield State and Queens College.
At SUNY Old Westbury he earned a B.A. in Media and Communications and hosted Takeova Radio on OWWR. That foundation grew into New York nightlife, destination sets in Canada, Jamaica and Bermuda, corporate rooftops and yachts, broadcast television and major community stages — always with the same standard: preparation, polish and an instinct for the crowd.

What the room needs so the night runs clean. Full advance confirmed before every booking.

DJ controller provided by DJ Takeova, or venue CDJ-2000/3000 setup with DJM-900/S11 mixer; XLR/RCA connection to house PA.
Booth
Sturdy 6-foot table or booth with facade, 10-foot clear working area, and two dedicated power outlets.
Sound
House PA with XLR input from the booth and a dedicated booth monitor.
Microphone
Wireless handheld microphone for MC and hosting segments.
Timing & access
60–90 minutes for setup and 30 minutes for breakdown. Venue parking and clear load-in access.
Terms
50% deposit holds the date; balance due before performance. Travel outside the NYC metro area billed separately. Certificate of Insurance available on request.
